The City of Clarkston and Asotin County Transportation Plan will take a critical look at the existing transportation network within the City of Clarkston and the urbanized area of Asotin County.  Average daily traffic counts, turning movement counts at selected intersections, collision records, a sign inventory, and geometric data will be collected and evaluated.  Evaluation of the data may reveal elements or locations of the system that are not performing well.  The Plan will have detailed recommendations for improvement.  

The project will also investigate the future transportation system, taking into account the projected growth in the City and County, present and future land uses, and it will evaluate future problems and solutions.  The future projection will be based on a 20-year horizon.  Capital Improvement Plans (CIPs) will be developed for use in budgeting and prioritizing projects.  The MPO will use this information to inform the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) update in 2020.  

This plan was adopted by the MPO Policy Board on June 13, 2019.
